OpenERP signs agreement with Smile in France

OpenERP, previously known as TinyERP, signed a partnership agreement with Smile. Smile considers OpenERP as a product with great maturity, and abroad set of modules available (all under the GPL).

ERP white paper from Smile

Smile, a french company specialised in Free and Open Source solutions, published a white paper on FOSS ERP solutions. Compiere, Adempiere, Neogia, OpenBravo, ERP5, OfBiz, TinyERP are in the solutions covered. The report, sent by mail after registration, is in french and is 115 pages long.

Compiere 3.0 ERP available

Compiere Inc announced the release of the latest version of their namesake ERP suite. It empasizes SOA and and advanced web-based user interface built with the Google Web Toolkit.

* Returns management - Feature-rich, ready-to-deploy functionality to implement return materials authorization (RMA) and return to vendor (RTV) processes.
* Financial report templates - An expanded set of financial report templates including a new Trial Balance template and refined Sales Reporting templates.

Openbravo acquire Librepos

Openbravo, devloper of a FOSS web based ERP solution, announced their acquisition of Point of Sales solution librepos, which is now renamed Openbravo POS. The main developer of Librepos joined Openbravo, which is dedicating further resources to the project.
