The Openbravo World Conference will start on 17 april with a full day dedicated to Openbravo Partners. 18 and 19 april are the Community days and open to all.
300 IT professionals from across the globe are expected at the conference which will feature such speakers as Richard Daley, CEO of Pentaho and Matt Asay, VP of Business Development at Alfresco.

OpenBravo, producer of an ERP solution and a POS solution (from the acquisition of LibrePOS), announced it secured $12M in funding. Partners in this round include the GIMV, "the largest investment company in Belgium".

Openbravo, devloper of a FOSS web based ERP solution, announced their acquisition of Point of Sales solution librepos, which is now renamed Openbravo POS. The main developer of Librepos joined Openbravo, which is dedicating further resources to the project.
