BMC launches 4 open source projects

Willian Hurley form BMC announced the launch of BMC's developer network and 4 open source projects under a BSD license: adapters for Altiris, CiscoWorks, LANDesk Asset Manager and HP's OpenView AssetCenter to transfer data from data repositories to configuration management systems.

Although most companies understand today that putting code under an open source license is not enough for a project to succeed and blossom, I hope BMC will work openly to maintain and enhance those projects so they become viable long term solutions.
